I've decided to go to My Space now..... I can get loads of stuff on there, so if you would like to follow the address is - http://www.myspace.com/foreignsandCya there! Love Kari
Ah........ yeah I know, I haven't posted on here since December. I am so busy that I don't get a chance to sit and talk about what happens everyday. Unfortunately the first post of the year is going to start with a rant :( Last weekend was the Queen Convention (yay!!), it was earlier than usual, but hopefully its switching back to May next year because it was so cold, despite the clocks going forward (and losing an hour of drinking!). We also had my hen night on the Friday which was really cool, so many people wanted to sign my shirt, and it looks lovely, I'll be keeping that for a while! Wheres this rant then I hear you ask? Well, its been brought to my attention that at the convention a few people were unhappy with me being drunk, how I dressed and how I acted. Hello?? Its not like I offended you or anything! I may have been drunk, but I know I don't offend people unless they really deserve it which I don't believe happened this year. I dress up how I like, thats me all over. I found that really nice skirt in Birmingham a week before the convention and thought it would be fab for the weekend. Who cares if its too short, I like it and thats what matters. Ok, so some people got a bit more of an eyeful such as my skirt going up from behind, but if its not your thing, then nothing stops you from looking away! How I acted? I acted no more than usual. I spoke to lots of people that I have known for years, spoke to some new people too. Yes, I may have sung 500 Miles and Amarillo a the top of of my voice whilst standing on a chair in the Queen Vic, but a few other people were singing with me, and I thought it was a great evening. I do regret one thing that I did and that was try to bury the hatchet with someone who didn't want to know, yes I regret that and wish I hadn't bothered. Drunk - hello??! Its a weekend filled with Queen music, dancing and good company - and you expect me not to drink? For anyone's information, it was my hen night on the Friday so this convention would be my last as a single woman and I was determined to do it justice. Also, I had a really crap end to the year such as my grandmother dying, personal family problems and a change of job which meant different surroundings etc. So it was obviously natural to let my hair down that weekend and not worry about anything. Yes, I admit I went a little overboard on the Friday as it was my hen night, but I hadn't eaten anything which kind of added to the drunkeness. I have said my apologies to who I needed to say them to, 3 close friends and the security guards who were worried for my safety that night. I don't believe I am due anyone else an apology for acting the way I normally act. If you don't like it, tough! Also, to end any rumours right here and now, my husband to be was at home the whole weekend and is not who people are thinking. I hadn't seen this person for a while and we do have a lot in common and had loads to talk about. Doesn't automatically mean that I am marrying this friend. I spoke to a few of the security guards a lot over the weekend because I have known them for about 2 years, does that mean I am marrying them too? NO!! I have always said that I do not mention names on here, just state the initial or nothing at all. I am not going to put any initials, as people are aware of who I am talking about. I have had so many people walk over me like a doormat over the years and stab me in the back. So thanks to all those who have doubted me and said things behind my back from the convention - I thought you were all nice people, but obviously thats not the case. So if you are any of these people who can't be bothered saying stuff to my face and would rather talk about me behind my back, do me a favour at the convention - don't come up to me or talk to me! Oh yeah, what was that song called that the Cross did??? SHOVE IT!!

A kindly pointed out to me that I haven't touched my diary in a while!
So, I am temping at the council at the moment, its a lot of fun and the money is good too.
Christmas is here again, we're off to Hastings on Tuesday to see D's brother, so that should be fun. I posted all my family's presents yesterday, I thought it would cost a lot to send, but it was only £14.25, yay!
They've given us £125 Amazon voucher. Only problem is, D doesn't know what to buy with his! I do, all 5 series of Still Game and the best of Freddie Mercury :)
I'll do my review soon.... maybe tonight if I get time! So much has gone on this year!
Love Kari
If you are out and about tonight, raise a glass for our dear Freddie and all those we have lost too soon. Love Kari
Where do I start?? Well, at the end of October, I left the airport for good. I wanted a change, and I was fed up of getting up at 02.30am and going to bed at 7pm :( So at the moment, I am temping til I decide what to do. I recently won tickets to go see Pink in concert in Nottingham on Saturday and also won tickets to see Scissor Sisters in Nottingham on Sunday, so at the moment, I am knackered after all this music and late night..... I know I wanted my social life back, but not all at once!! Parties are going well, got 4 in the next couple of weeks which is good. Poeldijk is this Saturday - yay!! I am not sure if I can cope with all these concerts now!! Be careful what you wish for, it may come true!!
After much debate, my rat is called Monty which is short for Montreux :) and D's called his Freddie - whether thats after Freddie Mercury or Freddie Flintoff, I don't know..... probably the latter!! They are still very shy at the moment, but we are going to try and play with them tonight if they every come out of their bed!! Love Kari
Mon, Oct. 2nd, 2006, 01:37 pm New additions
Today D and I gave notice to the council of our intention to marry. All pretty formal stuff. Then we went to the pet shop and for £39.99, we got a rat cage with sawdust, food, waterbottle, treat and two rats!! They are both male and they are brothers. They haven't got names yet. They are extremely shy and they have hidden in a tube since I put them in the cage!! So I can't put a picture up yet! They are very gorgeous though! The care sheet says we can't handle them for 48 hours so they can get used to their new surroundings which is fair enough :) Awwww, they're sooooo cute! Can't wait for 48 hours! Not much else been happening really..... my parties in the west midlands seem to be taking off! Got 3 bookings the other night, yay!! Now if I could just get some local ones and it will all balance out! Love Kari
Tue, Sep. 19th, 2006, 03:00 pm Bit quiet
Been busy working..... pays the bills so I am not complaining!! We're off to a wedding fayre on Sunday, our first!! Should be interesting! Booked my holiday off for the convention, so I will be off from the 23rd of March til 1st of April - yay!! Plenty of recovery time!! Also booked time off for our honeymoon, so I will off work from 31st August til 21st September.... double yay!! And.....! I booked the 13th and 14th of January off as we are going to Belfast to see Flash Harry! For 10 years they have said that I must come to Belfast and watch them play, but 10 years ago, you couldn't go to Belfast as a tourist, it was too dangerous. But times have changed now and its definitely safe to go. We are also going to Hastings again in October to see D's brother and his family and we will get to see D's great niece for the first time too :) We will also pop into Lewisham on the way to see my aunt and uncle :) So I might be quiet for just now, but the next year or so will be a whilrwind of events!! Love Kari
So Saturday was fantastic. J of the fan club got me up singing a finale of We Are The Champions, although I think I may have been a bit too quiet on the mic which is so unlike me! Saw a few old friends and finally met DH, which was cool :) Way too much alcohol consumed, but hey, you're only young once! Rumours were going round about the convention and yesterday they were confirmed!! Its is on the 23rd - 26th March in Brean Sands, Burnham On Sea, Somerset. So no more Prestatyn! Don't get me wrong, it was lovely when we first started going, but I think its a little run down now! Its a bit tight on my holiday because our holiday at work runs from April to March. So I will have to use my lieu days that I will get at Christmas to go! I am off on the 23rd, 24th and 25th, so I need the 26th off, but I always take the Tuesday off work to recover and there is not a lot of point of going in for one day, as I found out this week!! So really excited about going!!! New place, new time, yay!!! DH, hope you will be there!! Love Kari
Yeah, I know, been absolutely ages!! A and G's wedding was fantastic, it was a lovely day and I was so proud of them both! Our wedding date has now changed to 1st September 2007 as there was an event booked on the 8th. Its now under a year to go and it won't hurry up fast enough! Been living in D's house for about 3 months now and its going well, he still tells me off for leaving clothes lying around tho! Party bookings are on the up!! I'm working my way into the West Midlands now!! Had a party in Wednesbury a couple of weeks ago and I now have another one in Walsall on the 30th. It took me aobut a year and a half to get to where I was in Harlow, so it will take some time yet to get my name into the newsletters! Happy belated birthday to Freddie! G, A, D and I are off to Brierly Hill near Birmingham to celebrate Freddie's 60th on Saturday. We're looking forward to it very much!! Will update about that next week! Love Kari
Fri, Jul. 28th, 2006, 10:29 pm We're here!!
We made it here after an 8 hour journey, not bad considering we stopped 3 times. Its a bit cooler here which is nice - about 21 degrees. Tomorrow we're off to a family party, so its an opportunity for D to meet the rest of the clan - lol!! Knackered now, so might head off to bed in a bit. Love Kari
Tomorrow we're setting off to my parents!! We're both very excited! I've been busy for most of the afternoon downloading tracks for my mp4 player - and its not even full!! I'm having really trouble trying to think what I want on it!! Maybe I should have settled for 512mb instead of 1gb!! Trying to find some Bottom clips to put on it, but if you put Bottom into a search engine - guess what it comes up with???!!! Same thing happened when I put Wet Wet Wet into the search engine!! Any ideas DH?? Btw, congrats on getting up on the stage again ;) Will still be able to update when I'm away, north sea here I come, I'm desperate to cool down - lol!! Love Kari

Tue, Jul. 25th, 2006, 08:14 pm New toy
Bought myself a new toy on ebay the other day - yeah, don't get too excited - its an mp3 player. Now, I've never owned one before. The thought came to me when I saw some for £30 for 512mb in the shop I work in. I knew I wouldn't have the money in time to get one before I went away this weekend, so I checked out ebay and found out that 512mb mp3 players were £20. So I wondered what I could get for £30. Well, for £36, I got a 1gb Samsung mp4 player that looks like an i-pod, but does loads more than one. Such as plays videos, games, many functions of a mobile phone like calender, alarm clock etc. Hopefully it will turn up tomorrow or Thursday before I go away on Friday! D and I are going up to my parents for a week and then to A's wedding a week after that. Really looking forward to it!! Love Kari PS - The mp4 player holds approximately 280 songs - any suggestions??!
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/north_east/5139054.stmThats not what us Scots are about - sure, we've always been against the English - obviously I can't say much because I've lived in England for 7 years and I am going to marry an Englishman! But violence has never been involved until now....... gives us innocent lot a bad name...... any views L?
I had the party last night - only 4 people turned up though :( Still it was good fun, I got a free facial and my order was £38. The lady added up everyone else's orders and said that if I ordered £45 worth of goods, I would get them for £15!! So I looked through the book again and ordered another item, it took it slightly over, but I only paid £18 for all of it. I ordered 2 Peppermint Cooling Footsprays, 1 bottle of white musk, 1 strawberry body polish, 1 tube of hemp hand cream and a tub of strawberry body butter. Not bad I thought! No-one booked a party - apart from me!! The lady mentioned that the new catalogue would be out in August, so I have booked one for the 25th of August :) I also won a bottle of Vitamin E body lotion in the raffle. So all in all, it was a pretty good night despite only having 4 guests turn up! Love Kari
Tue, Jun. 27th, 2006, 06:48 pm Party time!!
I got invited to a Body Shop Party at the beginning of the month by another party organiser from Ann Summers, so I went and I booked my own for tonight while I was there. So the lady is coming at 7.30pm to set up and all my guests will arrive at around 8pm. I'm getting a free facial too, so its all good :) Not much been happening really - work is still busy. I've now moved into D's house, I have a few loose ends to tie up at my old place, but its getting there :) Now I don't have to dash between two houses all the time which is good. I'm busy putting my woman's touches to things - oil burner in the bathroom, gel air freshener glass in the dining room, it all smells very girly now!! Thankfully D does approve! Catalogue 56 was great fun, although most of my mates from down south have left, so I only saw one person I knew :( But the catalogue is stunning and I have a huge list of stuff I want to get for my kit! Better go and put some nibbles out and have a lovely glass of coke and vodka - got to make up for the alcohol intake for when I was on antibiotics - lol!!! Love Kari
So after L's time at Catalogue Fifty Sex (arf!), its now the turn of area 2 & 4. I didn't really get a chance to get a costume together because I wasn't well last week, and my organiser said just to wear something brightly coloured, so I've got a bright pink diamante 'Miss Summers' t-shirt and a pair of jeans. So at least its bright.
Looking forward to it all, and I hope I will see some of my friends from down south!
I'm driving - I don't mind to be honest. Saves me from travel sickness I suppose!
Better go cos I've got to fill the car up with petrol and be at someone's house for 08.45!
Love Kari
So feeling thoroughly fed up yesterday, went back to mine to pick up a couple of bits that I needed to send off that I sold through eBay. Checked my e-mail and there was an e-mail from bmibaby saying that their winter schedule finally went on sale yesterday morning!! And that they were having a special offer. I clicked on it and a return to Amsterdam in November is £30 each!! You only pay for taxes!! A quick text to D and N, and before you know it, we've booked 3 return flights on the 18th of November!! Poeldijk, here we come again!! A might be coming, we don't know yet. Easyjet haven't put their winter schedule up yet, but I imagine that should be pretty soon! I've also booked the motel that we stay in, so we're all set and its only June!! Something to look forward to in the dark winter months I suppose :) Love Kari
